The May 31st public meeting in the historical church in Barachois can be qualified as a tremendous success. Gilles Pinet and Luc Légère, president and vice president of the Association des Léger/Légère d’Acadie Inc., presented the schedule of activities that are planned during the Leger/Legere family reunion during the Acadian World Congress in 2009. We estimate that about 25 people attended the public meeting. The participants were very enthusiastic with the idea of this reunion.

Thank You Gilles and Luc for a terrific reunion. My wife Paulette and I had a wonderful time and plan to be at the next reunion in 5 years. Our biggest surprise was meeting Viola and finding out that we are 2nd cousins. What a treat to meet her she was so nice to us as was everyone we met. Can't wait for 2014.
